The holidays are quickly approaching. This is one of my favorite times of the year. The fireplace is going, the house smells of pine, and freshly baked goods. What is not to love?

Every year I try not to go crazy baking cookies, but things do not go as planned. I do challenge myself to bake a new cookie as well. I search online and other blogs to find a new and interesting recipe. This year I can across a recipe called Hot Chocolate Cookies that I found on bakedbree.com. She is a fellow photographer in a forum I belong to called Clickin' Moms. She has a fantastic blog, so if you get a chance check it out.

These Hot Chocolate Cookies are delightful. Just perfect for this time of year and for a cookie exchange. They are not to sweet and have the right amount of chocolate. My husband tried one and said "These are good!" So I know I will be making them in the future as well. I altered the recipe slightly. I omitted the chocolate chips and added whole wheat flour as well. You can find the recipe below.
